Would I be able to get the mortgage the formula to calculate my bi-weekly rate. I can't seem to replicate it.

I inquired about this feature a month ago with two of their agents and they told me they don't offer this home equity debt consolidation. They instead suggested me to just asked for local banks. Btw we been with them for 10+ years.

Well, reading the comments it seems pointless even bothering. The whole purpose to consolidate debt is to relieve pressure, increase credit score and have piece of mind. The opposite is happening.

Payments will be recalculated with any change in the prime rate as stipulated in our standard charge terms. Fixed payment variable rate mortgages are pure scam. Cibc will make sure you are always inslaved with debt and they will make it more expensive for you to ever get out if not take your money and your home. If you care for your family and friends check first national or similar offerings but definitely not cibc.

Hello First National, What is the difference with "Lum Sum" and "Double up"? Wouldn't it make sense to only use Lum sum?
Hi Kong, That's a great question! With a First National mortgage you have a variety of privilege options that you can combine to pay your mortgage down faster. A double up payment is simply that! Say you have a $500 principal and interest payment, a double up would mean you make another $500 payment on your payment date, but that extra $500 would go completely towards your balance. With a lump sum, you have control of how much you'd like to contribute and when, with a minimum of $100 and up to your maximum allowance on any payment date. @@FirstNationalFinancialLP this is my second house with you folks. So, I've been a customer of yours for over 20 years and I have a credit score of 846/900. So, near perfect credit score. And you are telling me my rates to renew will be on the higher side? If you have offered me a fair rate when I renew I could've been a customer of yours for the next 20 years. Now I'm with someone else and for the same rates that is shown on your website.

If you've already received your mortgage and you've changed your mind about First National paying your property taxes on your behalf, please send us an email to escrow@firstnational.ca to advise you'd like to be considered to pay your own taxes. we have been with First National for 11 years and the process to consolidate debt with you guys is so difficult it's like you're in a circus making us jump through hoops of fire. I spoke with 4 different agents and they are nice on the phone yes, but the process to get this Debt Consolidation done is just horrible. What a joke! I should've went with my bank for a mortgage instead of First National

Theory yes, but don't rely, we are now short as they did not take enough... had to tell them what the numbers where and by the time they replied a payment had already gone by, as well as the payment it was noticed to be short. I am going to stop them handling my property taxes, if they even respond to my message.

It would be great to be able to combine scenarios, such as applying a lump sum in one or more years AND doubling up on payments. Also, the interest savings usually looks a little low when I use the calculators.
